Dear Friends & Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to the UEG - EAGEN - Guideline Postgraduate Course which will take place in Siófok on June 1, 2018.

This Guideline Postgraduate Course is in correlation with the 60th jubilee Annual Congress of the Hungarian Society of Gastroenterology and is organised under the auspices of UEG (United European Gastroenterology), EAGEN (European Society for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and Nutrition), EHMSG (European Helicobacter and Microbiota Study Group), Hungarian Society of Gastroenterology and in cooperation with Croatian, Rumanian, Serbian, Slovenian Societies of Gastroenterology. 

The major aim of this Postgraduate Course is harmonisation and standardization of management in upper GI disorders in Central-Eastern Europe. This initiative can help to minimize disparities between health care systems across Europe.  All involved Societies will clearly benefit from the initiative, will provide clear advantage to the National Societies in terms of improving the standards of care of upper GI disorders, lowering social health costs in cost-effective way and further integrating them in the wider UEG community.   

To bring you the latest findings and global perspectives the scientific programme of the Course with internationally renowned faculties will include many challenging and changing aspects regarding GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis, H. pylori infection, gastric precancerous lesions, gastric cancer, new development in imaging of endoscopic diagnosis, endoscopic detection and management of early  neoplastic lesions, the impact of primary and secondary prevention strategies, functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs).
