On behalf of the Programme Committee and the Local Organizing Committee of
the 1st Budapest Symposium on Atrial Fibrillation we are delighted to invite you
to Budapest on the 06-07th of April 2006.
The Hungarian Institute of Cardiology is honoured to be the host of the Atrial
Fibrillation Symposium and to provide a forum for delegates to learn together,
share experiences, strengthen links and explore collaborative approaches in the
treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.
The social dinner – cruising on the Danube – will get you acquainted with the
splendid panorama of the two banks of the river, while the conference venue is
fulfilling all requirements needed for a successful meeting.

April 7, 2006 - Live AFIB cases performed by different techniques
Three patients will be scheduled for live cases. The patient characteristics
will be different from highly symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation to
persistent atrial fibrillation. During the procedures a panel of experts will
coordinate an interactive discussion with the audience.

Registration Form per participant. You may photocopy this form if needed, or
download it from our conference web page: www.convention.hu
We can only accept applications made on registration forms and sent either by
mail, e-mail or fax. On-line registration is also an option.
All applications should be accompanied by payment of the full registration fee
and lodging costs.

In case of using your card we are kindly asking you to give us the data as

In the signature panel of your card (back of the card) you can also find the
card number. This can either be the whole card number, or a part of the card
numbers (usually the last four digits). The card number is always followed by a
three-digit number called card verification code. This number is unique for each
card. Please provide this number in the fields given above. Please note that
without this card verification code the transaction on your card can not be
completed.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made in written form (e-mail, fax or letter). Should you
need to cancel your registration and/or accommodation, please note that the
following amounts will be retained as a penalty fee:

Visa
Entry visa for a short-term stay in Hungary is not required for the European
Union members, USA, Canada, and Japan. For further information about visa and
other requirements, please contact the Hungarian embassy or consulate in your
respective countries.

Arriving at Budapest
Since 2004 several low cost airlines have been running their flights between
Budapest and the large European cities. (Wizzair, Germanwings, EasyJet,
SkyEurope, Air-Berlin, Snowflake)
At Ferihegy Airport, there are taxis, minibuses and bus services operated by the
Airport Authority. The fixed price for the Airport Minibus Service is about 10
EUR (return ticket is 15 EUR), which will take you to any destination in
Budapest. Also at the airport and for any trip made in Budapest, you are
strongly recommended to use officially authorised taxis with the following phone

Language
The official language of the Conference is English.
Insurance
The organisers do not accept any responsibility for injuries/damages or losses
sustained by persons or personal belongings during the conference.
Participants are therefore strongly advised to carry appropriate travelling and
health insurance.
Name badge
All registered delegates and accompanied persons are required to wear their name
badge when attending sessions and social events.
Coffee breaks
Refreshments and coffee will be served in the Trade Exhibition Area during
breaks.
Certification of attendance
Certificate of attendance will be available at the registration desk on the last
day of the Conference.
